Archetypes are an eternal imprint that each reminds us of the potential of the human being.
Quan Yin is the archetype of the divine mother; one who cares for our needs and is understanding towards our feelings and hears all of our cries, no matter how silent or loud they are.
By developing this archetype within ourselves, we begin to recognise that there is a generous amount of universal care for our well-being and our needs as individuals. This is a practise we often excuse because we are too busy or prefer to give this quality of care rather than to give.
I have been engaging in Quan Yin practises since I was 14 years old. This was when I started to focus on the practise in a disciplined way. Before that was just passing by the famous Quan Yin as she showed up in many occasions.
I still have a lot of work to do, especially when it comes to receiving and overly caring. I’d like to believe that each year, I get a bit better at it. The journey becomes enjoyable because I get to meditate on the grace of Quan Yin and I just love what her mantra work does for me. I am grateful that I have this to lean into, especially when I don’t feel safe.’
Cultivating Compassion with Quan Yin 3 looks at the meditations on the tears of Quan Yin. Her tears of compassion have multiple benefits including teaching us how to get up and carry on as well as unpick the ideologies of compassion and apply them to everyday life.
In this practise we will extend our learning on Quan Yin visualisations and meditations as well as additional mantras.
I hope that as you Cultivate Compassion with Quan Yin with me, you will develop a strong inner muscle of the divine mother that you are able to witness as someone who really can look upon you as though you were her only child.
