Bio

Jambo frequently travels teaching workshops based on Forrest Yoga, Functional Anatomy and Native practises of the Medicine People. He is also an experienced bodyworker and bodywork teacher based on his multi-disciplinary practise of structural alignment, muscles testing and classical East Asian medicine.

As a Forrest Yoga Guardian and travelling assistant to Ana Forrest, he is committed to delivering the healing practise of Forrest Yoga in its most authentic form. He supplements asana workshops with sessions on functional anatomy, neuro-science, applied kinesiology and structural bodywork. He has an immense amount of passion explaining why what we do works.

Some of the most popular workshops, such as an 'Introduction to Handstands & Arm Balances' as well as 'The Anatomy of Standing Poses for Effective Hip Opening' are what is often seen.

Although these workshops sound heavily based on poses, he believes that the foundation for physical and emotional growth walk side by side. The yoga mat is a safe arena to explore the areas we are working towards as well as the places we are afraid to meet. This safe space is deliberately generated so that we can walk with full integration. All of our gifts and the shadows that we need to snuggle up to.

Psychomagic

Magick as a form of transforming the psyche

The art of using the Tarot de Marseille to read the present state of the unconscious and it’s relationship to your questions. This enables the reader to help carve out the story (trauma) and create a Psychomagick (spell) that enables the stuck unconscious to break through repeating and blocked experiences.

The investigation of the ‘story’ is deep within how the unconscious draws the spread. Enabling the reader to match the parallels within the consultants family tree.

This method of meta-genealogy is an easy way to point out and cease repeated patterns that are inherited from previous generations.

If you like using ceremony, magick and healing to access your breakthrough, this is it.

This method is drawn from the traditions of the Jodorowsky and Jungian Paths.

The Psychomagick is a spell that is created based on the reading that enables the consultant to break through stuck unconscious patterns

Ethics & Professionalism:

Code Of Ethics

Codes of ethics are a list of conducts that an organisation or individual uses as principles and foundations of professional practise.

(See code of practise for professional conduct)

You can expect from me:

  • The hard facts; but I always start every event with a review of the foundations of human movement. Without a clear understanding of it, we are unable to understand the potential of the human experience

  • Strategic methods of working with the human body & mind through movements like yoga poses, yoga, bodywork & meditation

The practise of this work involves the physical, emotional, psychological & spiritual

  • I have been trained to work with the listed components

  • You will be invited and encouraged but never forced

  • The ONLY time I will push is if I consider a laziness from the practitioners perspective

  • I will honour limits as I detect traumas

  • You always have the choice of how deep you want to go with your processes

  • Students are expected to fill out a health sticker that informs me and my assisting team of injuries, surgeries, pregnancy and whether you want hands on assists or not. Please take the responsibility to inform us so that we can better support you!

You will always be invited, but never forced:

  • As a teacher, mentor and supervisor, I have a wide audience of students that I choose to dedicate to

  • If for whatever reason I detect that your integration of the work stubbornly remains within the superficial level, I will ask you to consider doing a different program, or even leave

  • I refuse to allow one person who wants a certificate of attendance to hold the rest of the training up

  • I will not tolerate resistance to your own growth if it impacts others. If you choose not to grow, I wholeheartedly accept that but not that at the cost of others

Repetition is the key to integration:

  • I will repeat as often as possible

  • In most trainings I have a team that will digitally record the techniques

  • Trainees are expected to sign waivers that enable video footage during demonstrations. You have the right to turn down being filmed; in which case you will not be used for any demonstrations.

  • Video demonstrations are created to support your learning development, marketing & re-selling. You have the right to not be involved.

  • The purpose for digital learning is to enable you to enjoy the processes and be concerned about memorising it later

Business:

  • Jambo Yoga Ltd is a UK registered Limited Company that pays Corporation Tax on profit

  • Instalment plans & scholarship programs are available on a signed agreement between the trainee & Jambo Yoga Ltd

  • 10% of Jambo’s time is allocated to supporting various charities and he regularly trains individuals from the fringes of society

Code Of Practise

The Codes Of Professional Practise is a set of principles, guidelines or rules that are generated within a profession to demonstrate a practitioners or organisations conduct.

As a multi-disciplinary practitioner, my codes of professional practise are defined by a general combination of the various practices that I practise.

This is what I can assure you:

  • I have been trained, insured to practise every listed therapy on my website and biography

  • I have annual professional development within each of the traditions by way of: attending programs/courses, working regularly (at least monthly) with a mentor or supervisor within the mentioned therapy

  • I receive monthly supervision within the areas of my practise

  • The contents of the subjects discussed are based from the most updated research within the various fields that are within my scope to study and share

  • I only share what I have evidence to support (research based & clinical practise)

My supervisors are:

  • Dr Kathy Dooley (Anatomy & Physiology, John Hopkins University New York, Immaculate Dissection)

  • Suzanne Shultz (Counselling & Body Psychotherapy, Regents University, London)

  • Dr Jong Baik (Classical Eastern Medicine, University Wales, University Coventry, University Southern California)

  • Maria Soledad (Shamanic Psychotherapy)

  • Thích Phước Huệ (Esoteric Buddhism, Chùa Từ Đàm, Birmingham)

Although I am part of various professional organisations:

  • I am a member of Yoga Professionals UK

  • Yoga Alliance USA

  • I am NOT limited to what these professional bodies expect of me

  • I will share what I deem to be appropriate (based on re free net research), not only a syllabus that is expected by these bodies

Diagnostic techniques are taught within the scope of practises of:

  • Biomechanics & functional anatomy for yoga teachers & bodyworkers

  • Mind-body coaching

  • Classical East Asian Medicine
