Jambo's teaching style is embodied, he priorities the practitioners experience to enable the learning process. Expect a real-talking, humorous and informative experience.

There are 2 sides of Jambo.

The Clinician:

Jambo’s academic background involved a training gathering literature reviews and comparisons studies of various systems of healthcare. This opened the door to question dogma and created the spaces for thorough examinations of the effectiveness of various modalities.

This led Jambo into the world of biofeedback, Heart Rate Variability and nervous system health as a method to compare the effectiveness of modalities.

Jambo spends a lot of time continuing his studies with his clinical supervisors in the worlds of acupuncture, scar tissue & somatic counselling.

Jambo enjoys gathering new information and sharing them with his students. His 1-2-1 sessions are designed to be informative, educational as well as addressing the needs of the session.

The Dragon:

Jambo grew up with a rich background in Taoism and Buddhism. He has been trained in classical practices such as meditation as well as esoteric practices such as mantrayana and devotional yogas. Growing up with a family that valued ritual and respect has created the foundations of Jambo’s work.

As Jambo matured, he ventured into various other systems of esoteric and occult type practices from various traditions all over the world, training with some of the worlds masters and charlatans he has come to terms with the importance of cultivating our own spirituality with reverence to the traditions that have come before us.

As someone who has learned to free himself from cults and the prisons of societal expectations, Jambo empowers his students by treating them how to access the authentic messages that can only be found inside.

Jambo can conduct ceremonies on your behalf for a variety of matters.
Ordained Ngakpa Maitri Vajra; he also teaches tantric meditations and mantras from the lineages of Tantric Buddhism

(NB: Tantra is not about sex, it’s the awakening process that comes from the inclusivity of all that exists).

Ethics & Professionalism:

Code Of Ethics

Codes of ethics are a list of conducts that an organisation or individual uses as principles and foundations of professional practise.

(See code of practise for professional conduct)

You can expect from me:

  • The hard facts; but I always start every event with a review of the foundations of human movement. Without a clear understanding of it, we are unable to understand the potential of the human experience

  • Strategic methods of working with the human body & mind through movements like yoga poses, yoga, bodywork & meditation

The practise of this work involves the physical, emotional, psychological & spiritual

  • I have been trained to work with the listed components

  • You will be invited and encouraged but never forced

  • The ONLY time I will push is if I consider a laziness from the practitioners perspective

  • I will honour limits as I detect traumas

  • You always have the choice of how deep you want to go with your processes

  • Students are expected to fill out a health sticker that informs me and my assisting team of injuries, surgeries, pregnancy and whether you want hands on assists or not. Please take the responsibility to inform us so that we can better support you!

You will always be invited, but never forced:

  • As a teacher, mentor and supervisor, I have a wide audience of students that I choose to dedicate to

  • If for whatever reason I detect that your integration of the work stubbornly remains within the superficial level, I will ask you to consider doing a different program, or even leave

  • I refuse to allow one person who wants a certificate of attendance to hold the rest of the training up

  • I will not tolerate resistance to your own growth if it impacts others. If you choose not to grow, I wholeheartedly accept that but not that at the cost of others

Repetition is the key to integration:

  • I will repeat as often as possible

  • In most trainings I have a team that will digitally record the techniques

  • Trainees are expected to sign waivers that enable video footage during demonstrations. You have the right to turn down being filmed; in which case you will not be used for any demonstrations.

  • Video demonstrations are created to support your learning development, marketing & re-selling. You have the right to not be involved.

  • The purpose for digital learning is to enable you to enjoy the processes and be concerned about memorising it later

Business:

  • Jambo Yoga Ltd is a UK registered Limited Company that pays Corporation Tax on profit

  • Instalment plans & scholarship programs are available on a signed agreement between the trainee & Jambo Yoga Ltd

  • 10% of Jambo’s time is allocated to supporting various charities and he regularly trains individuals from the fringes of society

Code Of Practise

The Codes Of Professional Practise is a set of principles, guidelines or rules that are generated within a profession to demonstrate a practitioners or organisations conduct.

As a multi-disciplinary practitioner, my codes of professional practise are defined by a general combination of the various practices that I practise.

This is what I can assure you:

  • I have been trained, insured to practise every listed therapy on my website and biography

  • I have annual professional development within each of the traditions by way of: attending programs/courses, working regularly (at least monthly) with a mentor or supervisor within the mentioned therapy

  • I receive monthly supervision within the areas of my practise

  • The contents of the subjects discussed are based from the most updated research within the various fields that are within my scope to study and share

  • I only share what I have evidence to support (research based & clinical practise)

My supervisors are:

  • Dr Kathy Dooley (Anatomy & Physiology, John Hopkins University New York, Immaculate Dissection)

  • Suzanne Shultz (Counselling & Body Psychotherapy, Regents University, London)

  • Dr Jong Baik (Classical Eastern Medicine, University Wales, University Coventry, University Southern California)

  • Maria Soledad (Shamanic Psychotherapy)

  • Thích Phước Huệ (Esoteric Buddhism, Chùa Từ Đàm, Birmingham)

Although I am part of various professional organisations:

  • I am a member of Yoga Professionals UK

  • Yoga Alliance USA

  • I am NOT limited to what these professional bodies expect of me

  • I will share what I deem to be appropriate (based on re free net research), not only a syllabus that is expected by these bodies

Diagnostic techniques are taught within the scope of practises of:

  • Biomechanics & functional anatomy for yoga teachers & bodyworkers

  • Mind-body coaching

  • Classical East Asian Medicine
